BOSTON, MASS.- Invaluable today announced the appointment of Paul Kasmin, the owner of Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York and one of the most respected contemporary dealers in the art market, to Invaluable’s Advisory Board.

Kasmin joins former Sotheby’s chairman, president and CEO Bill Ruprecht, who was recently announced as the inaugural member and chairman of the Invaluable Advisory Board. The pair will work with Invaluable’s leadership team to grow the business and expand relationships with dealers and galleries.

“Over nearly three decades as an art dealer in New York, Paul has showcased and supported extraordinary artists and built his gallery with a unique and important voice that is incredibly vibrant,” said Rob Weisberg, Invaluable CEO. “We welcome the perspective Paul brings as we seek to grow our partnerships with gallerists and dealers. His knowledge and experience in the art market and Invaluable’s innovation and strength in technology are a powerful combination we think will bring great value to dealers.”

Kasmin first opened his eponymous gallery in SoHo in 1989. Today, he has three spaces in Chelsea. The gallery has developed and continues to support the careers of a host of important Contemporary artists and participates in leading art fairs around the world, including Art Basel Miami, Art Basel Hong Kong, ADAA, Frieze New York, TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF New York

"I’m very interested in finding new ways to sell artwork and after a great deal of looking, Invaluable is the best choice to do that. It’s a good way for dealers to meet new clients and expand their businesses," said Kasmin. “As a member of Invaluable’s advisory board, I’ll ensure the viewpoints of dealers and galleries are represented and I’ll work to help Invaluable significantly grow this area of its business.”

Invaluable first launched its “Buy Now” retail offering in March 2016 to bring the world’s premier galleries, dealers and auction houses together in a unified marketplace. Since March, Invaluable has signed on more than 220 dealers, including Paul Kasmin Gallery, Acquavella Galleries, Barbara Krakow Gallery, Adelson Galleries and Gerald Peters Gallery.

Invaluable also recently expanded the company’s commitment to the dealer community as the marquee sponsor of the highly successful TEFAF New York Fall in October, and will continue in that role for and TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF New York Spring in 2017. As part of the sponsorship, TEFAF and Invaluable are developing the “TEFAF Digital Excellence Program powered by Invaluable,” a new program designed to help dealers expand their online reach and find new collectors.
