LONDON.- Phillips announced the appointment of Yassaman Haj Mohammad Ali as a Client Advisory Manager in London, part of a significant expansion of the company’s business development efforts around the world.

Ms. Ali joins Phillips from Sotheby’s, where she was a Senior Client Liaison in the Private Client Group, working extensively on client participation within the luxury sales categories and increasing client engagement in the Middle East and Europe. At Phillips, she will play an important role in building Phillips’ brand in the Middle East and Europe, working closely with the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Department along with specialists across all departmental categories to support its business development efforts by cultivating networks of collectors, art dealers and enthusiasts.

“I am delighted that Yassi is joining our team as we build extraordinary momentum globally,” said Guy Vesey, Phillips’ Senior Director and Head of Business Development, EMERI & Asia. “Yassi will play an instrumental role as we further develop our global client relationships and create engagement opportunities for today’s collectors. With her significant experience and passion for engaging with clients, she will be at the forefront of initiatives in the coming year as we strive to serve collectors and consigners across the Middle East and Europe.”

Phillips is in the midst of significant international growth. In the past year, the company has advanced its business development efforts by adding Mr. Vesey to expand client development in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and Vivian Pfeiffer as Head of Business Development in the Americas. In addition, Phillips has held its first two sales of 20th Century & Contemporary Art and Design in Hong Kong, and added regional directors or specialists in Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, Seattle, Mexico City, Cologne, Zurich, Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei.
