OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA.- Rita S. Craig, CPA has been named Chief Financial Officer at the
Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Craig, who started with the Museum on July 11, has an extensive financial background, including more than 20 years of experience in public accounting as well as past CFO positions. She comes to the Museum from Hale & Company.
"Rita's impressive background made her the perfect fit for this position," said E. Michael Whittington, OKCMOA president and CEO. "We're excited to have someone with her extensive experience in the nonprofit sector - both in accounting and taxation - on board."
Craig said, "I am honored to be the new CFO at OKCMOA and have already thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the rest of the Museum leadership team. I am struck by the fact that I am surrounded by individuals who are all at the top of their fields, and the resulting collaboration is a very high-level, creative product. I am looking forward to continuing to expand my knowledge of the Museum and to working with a dynamic, fun team."
Craig graduated from Oklahoma Christian College and began her career with a Big Four accounting firm. During her career, she has also owned and managed several businesses, the most recent an ACT prep company, which she sold in 2016.
Craig is mother to two boys; both are studying at OU for their graduate and undergraduate degrees in engineering.
