PHILADELPHIA, PA.- The National Museum of American Jewish History announced the appointment of Paul Waimberg as the Museum’s Chief Financial Officer. In this position, he will be responsible for overseeing all of the Museum’s financial and accounting operations and reporting.

Ivy Barsky, NMAJH CEO and Gwen Goodman Director, says, “We are thrilled to welcome Paul Waimberg to NMAJH. With decades of experience in finance roles, he is a seasoned professional who brings to the Museum great drive, business acumen, and passion for our mission. I look forward to working with Paul to achieve our goals and realize the Museum’s vision for the future.”

Waimberg brings a wealth of experience in accounting and financial management following a diverse career in various industries and settings. For more than 20 years, Waimberg held senior financial roles at StoneMor Partners, LP, a public consumer product entity. He joined the company as its controller in a very early stage and was a significant contributor to its growth through key positions in accounting, finance, and mergers & acquisitions, ultimately serving as Vice President of Finance & Corporate Development. In the past five years, Waimberg served as the CFO of companies in the transportation and manufacturing industries: Volpe Express and K’NEX Industries. In those roles, he directed the accounting and finance departments, implemented policies and procedures to maximize financial and operating efficiencies, and was responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and overall cash management.

Waimberg was born in Argentina and grew up in Israel, where he completed his army service and earned a BA in Economics and Accounting from Hebrew University. He holds an MBA from New York University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Sharon.
