DALLAS, TX.- A private collection formerly owned by L.A.-based rapper Madchild – spanning items by pop artist KAWS and rare items by streetwear brand Supreme – highlights an auction of Urban Art March 6 at Heritage Auctions. Highlights from the online auction will be on display at Heritage Auctions New York, 445 Park Ave., March 1-2 and 5-6.

This sale marks the first auction house to offer collectibles by the iconic streetwear label Supreme and includes rare BAPE collectibles by the popular Japanese street fashion brand.

"We are excited to offer a wide selection of lifestyle collectibles and street art in our March sale," said Leon Benrimon, Director of Modern & Contemporary Art at Heritage. "Our Urban Art department has grown exponentially in the last year. We've seen tremendous interest and a large collector base for this type of work."

Shane Bunting, also known as Madchild, assembled a collection that includes 112 lots and ranges from the top artists in street art, including a sculpture by OG Slick (est. $8,000).

Several pieces from artist KAWS' line of cast of figurative characters range from BWWT 400% BE@RBRICK, 2005 (est. $3,000) to Chomper BE@RBRICK 1000%, 2003 (est. $3,000). Sought-after figures include Boba Fett, 2013, which has already surpassed its $3,000 pre-auction estimate, and Running Chum, 2000, a silkscreen on Arches paper, No. 14 of 50 prints (est. $6,000). Released exclusively on Cyber Monday last year, the KAWS X Nike 4, 2017, retains its original box. The pair of black sneakers originally retailed for $350, but pre-auction bidding has pushed the price north of $1,300.

More than two dozen items from streetwear brand Supreme are on offer, including the rare Supreme X Spalding Basketball, 2007 (est. $1,000). The collaboration Spalding was named one of the most anticipated releases from the brand's spring/summer releases. Additional co-branded accessories include a Supreme Hermès Ashtray (Red and White), c. 2012 (est. $1,000) and the Supreme X Louis Vuitton, Supreme LV Initiales, 2016 (est. $800), a brown, leather belt from one of the most hyped fashion collaborations of all time, according to GQ Magazine.

A number of screenprint Supreme skate decks include Silver Foil Skateboard, 2011 (est. $600); Skateboard (Blue), 2007 (est. $800); Leopard Skatedeck (Purple), 2009 (est. $800) and Gold Foil Skateboard, 2011 (est. $600).

The auction also features artwork by breakout contemporary artist RETNA, including Eastern Realm (two works), 2014 (est. $8,000), Agua Sucia II, 2012 (est. $2,000). Artist Takashi Murakami's painted cast vinyl sculpture Mr. Dob (Gold) (Original Edition), 2016 (est. $1,000), is from an edition of 250.
