DALLAS, TX.- A rare black lizard Birkin is expected to be among the most coveted lots in Heritage Auctions’ Summer Luxury Accessories Auction June 10 in Chicago.

An Hermès 40cm Shiny Black Niloticus Lizard Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware (est. $50,000-60,000). With two rolled handles, Palladium hardware and a flap top with a turnlock closure, this bag includes an interior done in Black Chevre Leather, featuring a zip pocket and a slip pocket. The bag includes two keys, a lock and a clochette, and is accompanied by an Hermès box, dustbag, clochette dustbag, rain protector, care card and CITES.

“The 40cm black lizard Birkin is the epitome of meticulous craftsmanship and refinement,” Heritage Auctions Luxury Accessories Director Diane D’Amato said. “It took four years to create this elegant work of art. I am certain that whoever is lucky enough to go home with this bag will be delighted for years to come.”

Vying for top-lot honors will be an Hermès 30cm Matte White Himalayan Nilo Crocodile Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware (est. $90,000-100,000), which is done in Matte White Himalayan Niloticus Crocodile and includes two rolled handles, Palladium hardware and a flap top with a turnlock closure. The Gris Centre Chevre leather interior features one zip pocket and a slip pocket and includes two keys, a lock and a clochette.
