HONG KONG.- Fine Art Asia 2018, Asias leading international fine art fair, returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in September. This year Ink Asia 2018, the worlds first art fair dedicated to art in ink, will be staged alongside Fine Art Asia in the same venue. Both fairs will be held from Saturday 29 September to Tuesday 2 October 2018, with a VIP Preview and Vernissage on Friday 28 September.
Founded in 2006, Fine Art Asia 2018 is recognised by the international art world as Asias original and foremost fair dedicated to antiques and art from both the Asian and Western traditions. Featuring major Hong Kong and international galleries, Fine Art Asia is unrivalled in the region, and offers museum‐quality Asian and Western works spanning 5,000 years of cultural history: antiques; jewellery; silver; timepieces; traditional, Impressionist, modern and contemporary art, and photography.
Ink Asia launched in 2015 as the worlds first art fair dedicated to contemporary works in ink. Now acclaimed as a unique international platform for this art form, Ink Asia has been instrumental in bringing the public perception of ink art up to date. A vast array of ink and ink‐inspired works are being created today, influenced by tradition but following innovative artistic paths.
Fine Art Asia 2018 and Ink Asia 2018, staged at the peak of Hong Kongs art season and coinciding with major art auctions within the same venue, offer a superlative selection of Asian art that attracts specialist collectors and serious art connoisseurs from across the world. Fine Art Asia, with its roster of major international art dealers, many of whom exhibit at European and American fairs such as TEFAF, is also instrumental in developing the acquisitiveness of Asian buyers towards the Western artistic sensibility.
