NYACK, NY.- Janine B. Napierkowski has been appointed Director of Administration and Operations of the
Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center in Nyack, NY.
Ms. Napierkowski, who was most recently Director of Operations for Rube Goldberg Inc, fills a vital role as the organization expands its reach through programs and exhibitions.
Ms. Napierkowski, who holds a Masters Degree from Bank Street College in Leadership in Museum Education, and has held various positions in museums and education non-profits throughout New York, says that making artwork accessible to diverse and inclusive audiences is of the utmost importance to me as an educator. I believe in actualizing potential by setting goals that align with the values, mission and strategic plan of an organization.
Continuing fascination with Hopper, who was born and raised in Nyack and whose artistic vision was in part informed by the magical light that emanates from the Hudson River, is bringing an increasing number of visitors to 82 N. Broadway, the Hopper family home. Early works and memorabilia are on exhibit in the Sanborn Room, and changing exhibitions of work by modern and contemporary artists occur throughout the year.
In welcoming our new Director of Administration and Operations, Dr. Jennifer Patton, Executive Director of Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center said, Janine has the skills and work ethic, as well as resourcefulness to take us to our next phase: a museum with a collection informing our exhibitions and programs requires a museum professional. I am so happy to have Janine by my side.
