LUXEMBOURG.- With its fourth edition,
Luxembourg Art Week continues its success story by increasing its appeal to first-rate exhibitors and international audiences alike.
With more than 50 galleries, institutions and artists' collectives in the POSITIONS and TAKE OFF sections, Luxembourg Art Week is keeping up its pace. Attendance figures are again on the up, with 12,500 visitors making their way to this years fair. More than 120 collectors signed up for the VIP programme and took part in its guided tours to major cultural institutions in the Greater Region (Centre Pompidou-Metz, Frac Lorraine, Mudam Luxembourg, Casino Luxembourg) and exclusive visits of private collections (LE FREEPORT | Luxembourg, Arendt & Medernach Collection).
Gallerists who take part in the biggest international fairs recognise the huge potential of the LAW . . . Collectors from Luxembourg came to my gallery and convinced me to take part . The fair is in full swing . Samuel Vanhoegaerden, gallerist
Among the many top-notch works in the POSITIONS section, special mentions go to Fred Eerdekens (Samuel Vanhoegaerden), Martine Feipel and Jean Bechameil (La Patinoire Royale Galerie Valérie Bach), Hans Hartung, Zao Wou-Ki (Galerie F. Hessler), Julian Opie (DavisKlemmGallery), Dominique Figarella (Galerie Anne Barrault), Tony Oursler (Albert Boronian / Yoko Uhoda), Eric Mangen (Valerius Art Gallery) and Claude Viallat (Ceysson & Bénétière).

Parallel to the fair, Luxembourg Art Week has been developing its social media presence, with growing numbers of followers on Instagram and Facebook. The online publication of a digital catalogue has provided exhibitors with a new, convenient tool for the sale of their works while enabling fair-goers to prepare their visit beforehand. A free brochure provided information on the cultural agenda of the region, while the DADADA fair supplement was also available on site.
The conferences organised in collaboration with radio 100,7 attracted more than 400 spectators, with a record attendance for Suzanne Cotters and Emma Lavignes talk.
As one of LAWs long-standing institutional partners, Casino Luxembourg Forum dart contemporain broke new ground this year by staging Class Trip , a specially curated group exhibition with international artists.
As part of its broad appeal for sponsors and partners, LAW hosted corporate events by ATOZ, Raiffeisen and ING, who chose the exclusive setting of the fair to socialise with their clients.
The Collectors dinner was also highly appreciated by our guests, thanks in particular to the outstanding work of our catering partner Julien Cliquet. Last but not least, the post-vernissage party at Casino Luxembourg was a resounding success.
