Diamond Painting Tips

Diamond Painting is one of the newest hobby ideas for DIY lovers. It’s very easy to do and it can also turn into a very relaxing experience. Either you are a newbie of Diamond Painting, or you have already created some masterpiece, here you will find some Tips and Tricks for your work.

1. Store your diamonds
When you buy a Diamond Painting kit, you will receive all the diamonds you need in small plastic bags. To avoid losing your gems, the first tip I give you is to store all the diamonds in a storage box with removable slots. This will make things easier when you'll have to change colors in the canvas.

2. Remember to label the boxes
Another useful tip, if you choose a storage box for your Diamonds, is to label the slots. Don't forget to do it as you transfer the gems into the box, otherwise it will be hard to find the right label!

3. Use a Multi-diamond applicator tool
Multi-diamond applicator tools are very useful while painting with diamonds. This is true especially if you have to work with a large block of same-colored drills. Using this tool will make you save time, but you'll need to pay attention to put the line of gems in the correct position.

4. Use a color at a time
To make things even easier, especially for newbies, it is better to use one color at a time. This method will help you work in a more rapid and less confusing way.

5. Start from the top
Another useful tip you can use when painting by diamonds, is to start from the top. If you are right-handed, start from the top-right corner. In this way, as you go on with the work and lift the protective film, you will keep your wrist from sticking to the canvas.

In the same way, if you are left-handed, start from the top-left corner of the canvas.

6. Do not remove the protective film all at once
When you start to work on your diamond art project, don't remove all the protective film. This one is the best in diamond painting tips rated by alldiamondpainting.com. Try to cut only the section of the canvas that you're going to work on: in this way you will prevent the canvas to get dusty.

7. Tape the edges of the canvas
Usually, the edges of a Diamond Painting canvas are not supposed to be sticky. It may happen, however, that there's some extra glue in the key on the margins or, in general, in the edges of the canvas. This may be very annoying when painting with diamonds: the canvas may stick on your skin, but it can also get very dusty.
You can solve the problem by taping the edges of the canvas. You can use a simple, transparent tape or a more colorful washi tape.

8. Use some sticky tack
If you run out of the pink square of wax, or if you don't like how it works with your diamonds, don't worry. There are many things you can use to replace it. One of them is the sticky tack. Unlike the wax, sticky tack will not leak out of the diamond picker as you press on a gem, so it will also give a cleaner effect.
