BARCELONA, SPAIN.- The Museu d'Història de Catalunya presents an exhibition that portrays the friendship between Salvador Dalí and Federico García Lorca. The exhibition is titled The Persistence of Memory and is part of the Year of Dalí exhibitions. The exhibition includes a portrait of Anna Maria Dalí very little known, only seen in Valladolid. It also includes the eight-page poem titled Ode to Salvador Dali. The exhibition was curated by Vinyet Panyella. It does not includes the best works by the painter, but it does present a structure of the relationship between Dali and Lorca. It offers important original drawings and shows several important Dali paintings to understand the artists labyrinth. The visitor can also listen to popular songs by Lorca.
The word homosexuality is not in the exhibition or a figure to represent it. Although the relationship of homoerotic attraction is a constant. Dali merged his face with Lorcas in a famous drawing.
