DALLAS, TX.- Comic artists ranging from the likes of Jim Lee to Bill Sienkiewicz once again are donating original comic art and sketches to make up Inktoberfest: The Ed Asner Family Center Annual Comic Art Auction, Oct. 16 on HA.com.

The Ed Asner Family Center, founded by the legendary actor's son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Navah Asner, and Heritage Auctions are sponsoring the second annual auction of 86 lots to fund the center's mission of "promoting self-confidence in differently abled individuals to bring balance and wellness to those individuals and their families."

"We are over the moon about the success of last year's auction and are so excited to be doing this again and making it an annual thing," said Matt Asner. "Through the kindness and generosity of some of the best artists in comics and Heritage Auctions, we are helping others find their voice at The Ed Asner Family Center."

The Ed Asner Center is a state-of-the-art facility providing everything from art and cooking classes to therapy and even voice-over training for individuals and families affected by autism. The center offers arts and vocational enrichments as well as health and wellness services and calls itself "a one-stop shop for those with special needs and their families."

The auction is comprised entirely of original published pages or commissioned artworks. The donations include limited edition, artist-signed prints of famous Marvel and DC Comics covers, splash pages and commissioned original art.

Specialty illustrations include a haunting visage of Batman by Jim Lee. Original cover art includes work by several artists, including Ryan Sook's Superman #28 Cover Original Art (DC Comics, 2017) and John Heebink's and Mike Manley's Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #43 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1993), among others. Original commissions, variant cover original art and even blank sketch cover variant artworks are available, such as artist Adam Hughes' stunning Spider-Gwen #1 Wraparound Variant Cover.

Inktoberfest: The Ed Asner Family Center Annual Comic Art Auction is open for bidding at HA.com. The auction closes Oct. 16, with all proceeds destined for The Ed Asner Family Center, supporting children with autism and differently abled individuals and their families.
