Most important YouTube Marketing techniques you have to use

In order to be successful on YouTube, your videos need to be seen. Simply creating and uploading a video without taking the necessary steps to get your video out there is not sufficient. This is where YouTube marketing comes in to play, there are a number of steps you need to take to promote your videos, to boost views, enhance engagement and to grow your audience and authority. In this post, I will be providing you with a few effective YouTube marketing tips.

Title and Description
The title of your video is very important, especially for newbie YouTubers. How you title your video could determine how quickly your video is picked up by the YouTube search engines. When users type in a search term, they are looking for something specific. Think about the user when you are titling your video. Create a clickable title with relevant keywords and an attractive description. The title needs to answer the question that the user is searching for an answer for. For example, someone might type into the search engine “How to Lose Weight on a Vegan Diet” Your video has answers to this question but you title your video “Vegan lifestyle” and you do not mention vegan weight loss at all in the video, you could potentially miss out on thousands of views.

Therefore, a good title for this topic would be “How to Lose Weight on a Vegan Diet: 10 Tips” Simple, yet effective. Your description should go into further detail about the video content, and it should also include the title or the relevant keywords. This not only helps your search engine ranking, but it provides the user with further information about the video.

Tags
Your tags should be relevant to your title, they should include the title or elements of the title in the tag list. How to lose weight on a vegan diet should be included in your tag list. Vegan weight loss, vegan weight loss foods, healthy vegan meals and other relevant tags should be included for this particular topic.

Thumbnail
Your thumbnail is also very important, it should stand out, the images should be clear and the text should also be bold and readable. When your thumbnail stands out, your video will have more chance of being clicked on than if you just create a dull thumbnail that does not catch the eye of the user.

Share Your Video
Share, share, share! Do not spam your video link, but sharing is key. The key places to share your video are on your social media accounts. For example, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are good places to start.

Facebook
On Facebook avoid just posting random links with a short description telling people to watch it. One good way of enticing more viewers is to take a short snippet of your video and post it on Facebook with a link to the full video underneath. Facebook groups are also a good place to engage in YouTube marketing. Avoid oversharing, make sure your video is relevant to the topic that is being discussed.

Instagram
Build your personal brand on Instagram by posting high quality pictures, engaging and commenting and sending direct messages to those who comment, like and share your content. Connect with your potential audience and ask them to subscribe to your channel. Build an audience by providing high quality, informative or entertaining content. A dedicated and loyal audience will follow you to your YouTube channel if they connect with your content. Always keep your latest video link in your bio.

Twitter
Twitter is all about engaging in conversation, step into the fold and get involved in the dialogue. Search trending and relevant topics and jump right in there. Respond to tweets, and post your link when necessary.

Comments
Commenting on relevant videos is a very effective way of promoting your channel. One of the best ways of doing this is to watch out for new video alerts and try to be one of the first people to comment on that particular video. Always write thoughtful and honest comments that will encourage conversation, likes and replies.

Collaboration
Connect and collaborate with other YouTubers. Contact YouTubers that create similar content to yours, reach out and ask them if they would like to collaborate with you. Collaboration is key, it is one of the fastest ways to build your audience.

Advertising
Finally, paid advertising is another way of marketing YouTube channel. YouTube paid advertising, Facebook and Instagram are effective ways of marketing your channel.
