National Museum of Catalunya Art Reopens |

BARCELONA, SPAIN.- Spanish King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofia, and Spanish Culture minister Carmen Calvo inaugurated the last phase of the National Museum of Catalunya Art. The museum opens also an exhibition of 1,700 works. It took 19 years to restore and expand the museum.
Eduard Carbonell, director of the museum, stated, "At last we have a museum with all the strength to offer an ample view of Catalonian art."
Just a few days ago, Minister of Culture Carmen Calvo, signed an agreement to be part of the museum's board. The museum will have free entrance on December 17, 18 and 19th so the people of Barcelona get to know the new museum.
