KENYA.-British wildlife artist Simon Combes, 64, died after being attacked by a buffalo. He was famous for his close-up paintings of some of the world's most dangerous animals. This past Sunday, he was walking in the Great Rift Valley with his second wife Kat and a family friend and was attacked.
Cindy Combes, his daughter, said: "The buffalo just came from nowhere."
Susie Combes, the artist’s first wife, stated that it took the air ambulance around two hours to reach the area. She said, "He was one of the best wildlife artists on the world."
Simon Combes was born in Dorset. He lived in Kenya in his childhood and seven years ago he returned to live there.
