Dali Works Stolen From Antwerp Gallery

ANTWERP. BELGIUM.- Three bronze sculptures by Spanish artist Salvador Dali and several wood etchings were stolen from an art gallery in Antwerp this Saturday. Among the three sculptures are the works titled "Woman on Fire" and "Time Profile." The wood etchings are part of the Divine Comedy series. The thieves forced the doors of the gallery open to access it. Dave Schweitzer, owner of the gallery, estimated the value of the stolen works at around 70,000 euros. He said, "The thieves have taken the three most expensive sculptures." The Antwerp police have begun an investigation.
