Royal Palace Presents Luca Giordano |
MADRID, SPAIN.- The Kings of Spain today opened the Luca Giordano exhibition at the Royal Palace, on view through June 2, 2002. The Luca Giordano (1634-1705) exhibition shows works owned by the Spanish National Heritage, The Prado Museum The Capodimonte Museum of Naples and the National Gallery of London. Luca Giordano lived in Spain as painter for King Charles II, from 1692 to 1702. According to National Heritage spokesperson Rosario Díez del Corral, the visitor that gets near this exhibition will be amazed by the splendour that Jordan shows in his compositions. The Spanish king favored Lucas Jordan over Claudio Coello.
