4 Must-Know Facts About Hemp, Marijuana, And Vaping

There’s a reason why vaping dry herbs and/or concentrates is gaining popularity, not only in leisure vaping but in the medical sphere. Check this vapor and know more about the amazing properties within cannabis and hemp, and so much more!

1. Cannabis Versus Hemp
Cannabis and hemp, though often used interchangeably due to the similar effects they provoke when used, are actually quite different from one another. At least, when it comes to the CBD to THC ratio they carry.

Hemp has a higher concentration of cannabinoids than tetrahydrocannabinol. As for cannabis, it has more THC than CBD. To state the composition of these two compounds, here’s a brief explanation:

Tetrahydrocannabinol is a psychoactive compound. Psychoactive compounds may affect mood, thoughts, and behaviour. It is also what brings about that “high” which cannabis users are familiar with.

Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive compound. CBD does not bring about a “high” as THC does. It is considered non-toxic, as it’s plant-derived. In fact, pure CBD has no correlation to a potential in substance-dependence.

But both CBD and THC work best together. THC is what helps CBD bind to your body’s receptors, and in effect, have you obtain numerous health benefits, organically.

2. Vaping Dry Herbs Versus Smoking
Vaping dry herbs are miles different from smoking dry herbs. And “smoking”, in general. There are studies that show the first is far less dangerous to one’s health than the second. The reason behind this has to do with the mechanism of “smoking” itself.

Smoking occurs through combustion or the “burning” of the marijuana product. The smoke which is wrought from burning does damage to your respiratory organs. Air sacs are impeded and impaired, plus difficulty in breathing (that often lasts a lifetime, in habitual smokers), chronic bronchitis, and other lung diseases transpire in smokers.

Since vaping dry herbs does not have any combustion mechanism, these can be avoided. All that a vape pen does is cause the hemp’s natural trichomes and compounds to be vaporized. What you’ll be inhaling is, essentially, vapour.

3. Lung Capacity Increase
In relation to what we’ve mentioned in number 2, there is significant research with regards to how vapers potentially gain greater lung capacity in comparison to smokers. Although the “why” around this is still being researched, experts say that it may have something to do with how vaping devices require longer inhales of the cannabis product.

This, and the fact that even in said longer inhales, there’s less stress on the respiratory system. The absence of smoke is also a crucial variable.

4. Decreased Muscle Spasms And Tremors
Patients who suffer from muscle spasms and tremors, whether due to related diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s diseases, or not, experience a decrease in said muscle movement instability. And this is because of medical marijuana being included in their treatment.

Marijuana in itself cannot be applied as a patient’s sole medication, and not for long durations. However, these studies provide so much promise for what it can become, through further study.
