Arts Patron Evelyn Annenberg Hall Dies |

NEW YORK.- Arts patron Evelyn Annenberg Hall, 93, died in Manhattan. She was a sister of the late publisher Walter H. Annenberg. She gave part of her fortune to the Museum of Modern Art and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Evelyn Annenberg Hall was born in Milwaukee and graduated from the Calhoun School. She then studied at the Art Students League of New York.
Together with William Jaffe, her second husband, she collected art including Chinese porcelain, European paintings, sculpture and antique furniture, pre-Colombian artifacts and Renaissance drawings. Since 1970 she was a member of the Modern's International Council. In 1979 she became a trustee of the Modern. She gave the Modern works by Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard, Joan Miró, Édouard Vuillard, and Edvard Munch.
