BOGOTA, COLOMBIA.- The Museo Nacional de Colombia presents Drawings by Carolina Cárdenas, on view through September 4, 2005. The exhibition presents 34 drawings, a work in ceramic and eight photographs by Carolina Cárdenas Núñez, who worked in Colombia between 1928 and 1936, when she died. She became very good at drawing at an early age, togehter with Sergio Trujillo Magnenat. She died on April 6, 1936 apparently from meningitis at the age of 33. Her work had been forgotten until the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá held the exhibition in 1977 titled "Colombia en el umbral de la modernidad".
