Every year, the C.O.L.A. Individual Artist Fellowship program bestows $10,000, in the form of an unrestricted financial grant, to each artist selected for esteem and support. Peer panels, including local art experts, educators, and community leaders, review C.O.L.A. applications each year. Joe Smoke, Cultural Grant Program Director, is proud to note, “The Cultural Affairs Department has awarded honors in the visual arts for the past nine years, in the performing arts for six years, and in literary arts for two years.”

The C.O.L.A. 2005 performance schedule includes performance pieces, literary readings, and film screenings. Please see below for a detailed performance schedule. In addition, the Municipal Art Gallery will present Conversations with the Artists, a dialogue series with this year’s Fellows.
