LOS ANGELES, CA.- LACE presents its 26th Annual Benefit Art Auction, a stylish social event where art patrons, celebrities, and artists mingle, celebrate, and bid on renowned & emerging contemporary artists’ works.
Benefit Art Auction: Saturday 21 May 2005 at 7pm
Auction Art on Exhibit: 14 – 20 May (12 – 6 pm daily, 12 – 9 pm Fridays).

Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions presents its 26th Annual Benefit Art Auction, a stylish social event where art patrons, collectors, gallery owners, celebrities and young professionals mingle with many of the artists whose works are available. Our distinguished Honorary Host Committee, including Gloria Allred, Justine Bateman, Howard Bragman, Andrea Feldman Falcione, Councilmember Eric Garcetti, Kris Kuramitsu, Anne Litt, Lucy Liu, Mary McCormack, Kate Miller, David Morgan, Jamie Rosenthal, and Kenny Scharf invite you to an event which includes a live auction of fine art as well as a silent auction featuring interior design, jewelry, fashion and high-end décor items.

Contemporary artworks by some of the most important visual artists working today will be auctioned live at the 26th Anniversary Benefit Art Auction. Contributing artists include Mark Bradford, Will Cotton, Dorit Cypis, Sam Durant, Soo Kim, Alice Könitz, Barbara Kruger, Won Ju Lim, Charles Long, Marilyn Manson, Jon Pylypchuck, Ed Ruscha, Bruce Yonemoto and many, many more. Additionally, a Silent Auction will showcase exciting design, couture, jewelry, furniture, architecture, and décor by well-known designers and architects. Among the many fabulous Silent Auction contributors are Bestor Architecture, Edward An, The Erotic Museum, Gehry Partners, l.a. Eyeworks, Suzanne Felson Jewelry, Yves Saint Laurent, and more. For twenty-seven years, LACE has distinguished itself as a not-for-profit contemporary arts organization by presenting artwork that is new, untested, controversial, and experimental. Since the organization’s inception, the Annual Benefit Art Auction has been LACE’s primary source for unrestricted funds – funds that allow us to provide the impetus for dialogue about contemporary arts and culture in Los Angeles.
