NEW YORK, NY.- Marian Goodman announced today a new partnership structure and leadership plan for Marian Goodman Gallery. Philipp Kaiser, who currently serves as Chief Executive Director of Artists and Programs, has been named President and Partner. Executive Directors Emily-Jane Kirwan, Rose Lord, Leslie Nolen, and Junette Teng have been named as Partners. Marian Goodman herself will take on the position of Chief Executive Officer. An advisory committee will support the Partners in overseeing the Gallery’s ongoing stewardship and program development. The committee comprises Managing Director Elaine Budin, Executive Directors Aebhric Coleman (London) and Nicolas Nahab (Paris), Director of Finance Beatrice Wang-Coslick, and the Gallery’s Director of Communications and Events Linda Pellegrini.

Marking an important next step as the Gallery looks to its future, these appointments are a natural progression of the roles each has been playing within the organization, which operates galleries in New York and Paris, and presents Marian Goodman Projects in London. Since it first launched in 1977, Marian Goodman Gallery has been recognized for advancing the careers of some of the most influential artists of our time and for its acclaimed exhibition program.

Stated Marian Goodman, “I am a passionate advocate for my artists. I feel a deep sense of commitment to them and have ever since I first opened my business. The creation of this partnership will allow my vision and rigorous program to continue to thrive. The artists have put trust in me for over 40 years, and I have chosen a team that experiences the same intellectual and emotional response to the artists that I do. Preserving my roster and continuing to take on artists interested in a humanistic concern, a culture-critical sense of our way of life, a dialectical approach toward reality, and artistic vision about our urban structure is important to me. My partners and I together will carry forward the mission that I have worked so hard to achieve.”
