BERLIN.- Berlin Photo Week, in collaboration with leading companies in the imaging industry and numerous other partners passionate about photography, has developed an innovative event concept. The joy of taking pictures, the fascination for technology and life with photos, will be made tangible for many thousands of visitors on site and for many millions of people worldwide. Berlin Photo Week offers photo enthusiasts creative incentive to photograph themselves and others, to try out new cameras and accessories, to talk to other photo enthusiasts, to discover new ideas in lectures and workshops, and to enjoy legendary masterpieces of photography in top-class exhibitions. This and more is possible from 26 August to 3 September 2021 at the R.A.W.-Gelände (Haubentaucher, Cassiopeia) as well as at other satellite locations across the city.

L-Mount Stage: Leica, Panasonic, Sigma

With the L-Mount Alliance, Leica Camera, Panasonic, and Sigma – three strong brands in the photographic industry – bring together more than 250 years of technological experience, expertise, and know-how in the construction of cameras, lenses, and photographic solutions. On the central L-Mount Stage, located right next to the pool at Haubentaucher, attractive creative shoots as well as live shoots by renowned photographers will be offered, providing a varied program on all three Berlin Photo Week days. On the Main Stage, the three L-Mount partners will also present fascinating topics including Ambassador Talks and an L-Mount Alliance Panel, during which representatives from the three brands will discuss the potential and future strategies of the high-tech L-Mount standard.

Sony: photo, phones, audio

In the large Pool Lounge at Haubentaucher, Sony will present key aspects of its portfolio at Berlin Photo Week. The latest highlights of the Sony product range will be brought to life in several boxes, including the Sony Xperia smartphones, the latest audio systems including headphones and, of course, everything to do with imaging. An extensive camera and lens rental service will be available for interested customers. A variety of photo shooots, workshops, and other participatory activities will make it possible to experience photography in all its facets.

Leica and WhiteWall: Focus on the best picture

Two high-end companies – Leica Camera and WhiteWall – will make a joint appearance at Berlin Photo Week – in a collaboration that is driven by the desire to offer both photo enthusiasts and professionals “the best picture”. In Berlin, Leica will not only show the latest models of its world-famous camera product lines, but will also provide visitors with new inspiration through examples by world-famous photographers in specially curated exhibitions. The images on display will be printed by WhiteWall using the most advanced processes in the highest quality. During BEERLIN PHOTO WEEK, experienced photo professionals and product specialists will provide insight into WhiteWall’s award-winning image quality.

Nikon: Top brand, big in fashion

Nikon will bring its extensive product range, including its hottest and newest launches, and a team of experts to Berlin Photo Week. On top of that, it will thrill visitors with a large photo set, where fashion photographer and Nikon ambassador Ava Pivot will conduct live shoots throughout the day, providing practical tips and tricks. Not only will this be exciting to watch, it will also help visitors make their own photographs even better. Ava Pivot will also share deep insight into her work as a professional photographer on the Conference Stage.

Tamron: The whole world of focal lengths

The traditional Japanese manufacturer of excellent photographic lenses will delight visitors to Berlin Photo Week with inspiring photo walks with top photographer Thomas Adorff, as well as live shoots with successful young photographer duo Sallyhateswing. On Friday, 27 August at 4:30 pm on the Conference Stage at Haubentaucher, photographer Stella Hack will demonstrate how to take eye-catching street photos with the 35mm 1.4 fixed focal length. On Sunday, 29 August at 2:00 pm, Tamron ambassador Jeean Alvarez will give practical tips on portrait photography with the Sony E-mount trinity. At the Tamron booth, visitors will naturally be able to try out nearly all of the manufacturer’s lenses for themselves.

Sigma: Using lenses creatively

In addition to its extensive presence on the L-Mount Stage, lens specialist Sigma will offer Berlin Photo Week visitors special creative photography workshops, where enthusiasts can experience for themselves the creative potential of special lenses under expert guidance. Those who prefer to draw inspiration from the images and words of experienced professionals will also get their fill in the lecture by Sigma Ambassadors Frank Jurisch and Jean Noir.
