LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND.- People across Liverpool have the chance to celebrate their city's success in the build-up to European Capital of Culture 2008. The Liverpool Culture Company is inviting businesses, venues, community groups and individuals the opportunity to take part in 20/08 day - 20 August 2005 (*restrictions apply).

20/08 day is a unique chance to join in a celebration of all that is great about our city and our communities. Launched in 2003, the event has proved popular with groups, venues and organisations all contributing a myriad of offers whether culturally creative, community-focused, environmentally friendly or just good fun!

Last year 200 businesses, groups, venues and organisations celebrated 20/08 with special events, free or reduced price admissions, tours and special offers.
