Art and Design Elements in Online Casinos and How they Contribute to a Better User Experience

The online casino industry continues to grow by the day . Players in the industry are continually looking to do better in order to attract new users and deliver a better user experience to everyone who visits their online casino platforms. Read more here and find out what to expect from your online casino experience.

In this post, we will explore how online casinos are and can up their game on the design front to attract and retain clients

Color Selection
It is important to choose the right color for your online casino website. That is, however, not the easiest thing to do considering you have to choose from millions of colors.

1. Go with Logo Color
Your logo is no doubt one of your casino site’s most recognizable element. It no doubt gives your site some brand personality. It’s also an easy and safe place to start when looking for your site’s colors. May as well transfer that recognizability element and spread it all over your site by selecting the color(s) on your logo to the entire site.

2. Invest in Market Research
Different colors have different meanings and evoke different reactions and emotions. That is to say that, some colors will no doubt have your site visitors feeling more at ease, and may even encourage them to play some more on your site.

Find out what these colors are that would have the desired effect. Your color choice should set a desirable impact, and not just with improving the aesthetics of your site, but also with evoking the right emotions and spurring the desirable action among your site visitors.

Personality in the Design
A user-friendly site layout that’s easy to navigate is of course always a plus. You want to ensure your site layout or design is such that your site visitors can easily and quickly get to different section, right from the games selection to the customer support tab.

Away from ease of navigation, you also want your brand personality to radiate through your site design. Carefully select and use the right elements, from the colors and fonts to imagery. These should create a great first impression on your site visitors and encourage them to explore the different sections of your site.

Consider some characteristics of your target audience such as sex and age when selecting elements such as color and font. If you are targeting a younger audience for your casino, then something very colorful, with some fun and stylish font should be perfect. The same goes for women casino players. On the other hand, you can get away with duller and less stylish fonts if your target audience is older. Again, males will tend to be attracted to brown, blue, green and other duller colors.

Whatever font you choose, you will want to make sure it’s easy to read. Avoid the over-the-top kind that may not be easily legible. Again, you will need to factor in the color of your background when selecting the color of your font. Ensure the font color makes it easy to read against the background you select.

Apart from the logo, you can benefit greatly from using imagery the right way on your site. A picture of a player smiling away as they celebrate their win on your homepage is always great. The perfect combination of photos and graphics works for any online casino site. Similarly, your visitors will appreciate the use of illustrations, which should make it easy even for new users to get started on their online gambling experience.

Popular Themes
Different online casinos have taken to using different themes, as appeals best to their target audience . Any theme around Las Vegas is always a great hit. Based on your target audience, you can go with a sports-based theme, adventure or comic theme.

Less is More
With so many colors and design elements to choose from, it’s easy to find yourself tempted to try and use as many as you can. In one word, don’t. Going for a multi-color scheme may end up making your casino website appear too busy, which can be quite a turn off for most people, and an eye sore. There’s no reason to use just one color, but then you may want to keep your colors to the minimum. Three or four colors are just perfect.

Some physical casinos bring art and architecture to their premises, and architecture, art and money meet. Online casinos are also putting their best feet forward with exciting themes and designs.
