WILLIAMSTOWN, MA.- The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute presents Little Women, Little Men: Folk Art Portraits of Children from the Fenimore Art Museum, on view through October 15, 2005. This exhibition is part of "American Traditions," a collaboration of leading Berkshire County, Massachusetts, cultural institutions, and features a dozen paintings of children by American itinerant portrait artists, including Ammi Phillips, Erastus Salisbury Field, Joseph Whiting Stock, and William Matthew Prior, that were originally acquired by Stephen Clark, brother of Clark founder Sterling Clark. This exhibition was organized in conjunction with the Fenimore Art Museum of Cooperstown, New York.
