AMSTERDAM.- Following the successful edition of the Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience in Santiago de Chile, the Van Gogh Museum's only official Experience next travels to Buenos Aires. From 24 February 2023, visitors to the Argentinian capital can immerse themselves in Vincent van Gogh’s life story and iconic works as they experience interactive installations and lifelike decor.

The Van Gogh Museum's mission is to inspire a diverse audience with the work and life story of Van Gogh and his time, at the museum in Amsterdam and beyond. The Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience is a journey through Vincent's life in six chapters, based on the knowledge and expertise of the Van Gogh Museum’s curators and Education Department. After visiting Beijing, Barcelona, London, Lisbon, Madrid and Santiago de Chile, and having sold more than 1 million tickets, the Experience opened its doors in Buenos Aires in February 2023. Rob Groot, Managing Director at the Van Gogh Museum: ‘Following successful editions in Europe in 2021 and a wonderful start this year in Santiago de Chile, we are delighted that our Experience can now inspire visitors of all ages in Buenos Aires with the world of Vincent van Gogh.’

An interactive multimedia Experience

Visitors to the Experience journey through the intriguing life of Van Gogh, guided by life-sized projections of works, photographs and film fragments, detailed reproductions, multimedia interactives and applications, theatrical pieces of scenery, audiovisual scenes and quotes taken from more than 800 letters.

Meet Vincent van Gogh is primarily focused on visitors experiencing, discovering and trying things for themselves. On doing as Van Gogh did, in order to get closer to the life story and the world of this acclaimed artist. Meet Vincent van Gogh is the only official Van Gogh experience created by the Van Gogh Museum. The Experience goes a step further than other travelling initiatives focused on the artist. It is a complete experience in which education and entertainment go hand in hand. It is a journey through Van Gogh’s life in six chapters, based on the extensive knowledge and expertise of the Van Gogh Museum’s curators and Education Department.

The Experience is open to the public from 24 February 2023 at the Campo Argentino del Polo.
