NEW YORK.- The Kitchen Center for Video, Music, Dance, Performance, Film + Literature, presents Invisible Geographies: New Sound Art from Germany with Jens Brand, Christina Kubisch, Stefan Rummel, and Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag, and on view through October 14. The exhibition was curated by Christoph Cox. Using the invisible networks of sound waves and electromagnetic signals that circulate around us, the four installations in this show trace the physical topography of the audible world to produce alternative maps of our surroundings. Invisible Geographies is part of the citywide European Dream Festival and is made possible with support from the ifa - Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, Stuttgart e.V. and with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
