MOKULEIA, HAWAII.- Photographer of surfers and skateboarders Warren Bolster, 59, died in Mokuleia, Hawaii. Warren Edward Bolster was born on June 11, 1947, in Arlington, Va. While living in Sydney, Australia in the early 1960’s started to surf and write about surfing in newspapers, along with photographs. He tried to shoot from unusual and dramatic angles. Warren Bolster’s work was published in major surfing magazines in the United States, Australia, Europe, Brazil and Japan, as well as Sports Illustrated.

Jeff Divine, who knew Bolster as a photo editor, competing surf photographer and friend, stated, “He captured things that a normal person would never, ever see and brought it to the public. He ranks as one of the greatest names in surf photography."
