Throughout 2025, The Rockwell Museum invites visitors to reflect on their personal connections to color.

CORNING, NY.- The Rockwell Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate, unveiled its 2025 theme: Color! This year-long celebration will explore the significance of color in art, science, and culture, offering visitors a chance to engage deeply with the vibrant hues, shades, and tones that shape our world.
Color is more than just a visual experience--it is a powerful element of creative expression that artists use to ignite conversations, provoke emotions, and inspire new perspectives, said Executive Director Erin M. Coe. The Rockwell Museums 2025 theme goes beyond the aesthetic, delving into the scientific and cultural dimensions of color. In my first year in this leadership role at The Rockwell, Im excited by this theme, which is very topical, while being accessible to diverse audiences.
Throughout 2025, The Rockwell Museum invites visitors to reflect on their personal connections to color. What does color mean to you? How do artists harness color to convey emotion and tell stories? These questions and more will be explored through a dynamic lineup of exhibitions and programs designed to immerse audiences in the world of color.
