Felix Archer, Car Specialist at RM Sothebys said: We have been honoured to sell so much of Nigels personal collection over the past two or three years, including his beloved 1991 Williams FW14 and his 1989 Ferrari 640. This final selection of Nigels collection includes some truly remarkable lots, including his 1992 FIA World Formula 1 Drivers' Championship Trophy and some very special race-worn helmets and race suits. As with the previous items weve offered, this collection remains a very rare opportunity to acquire important items direct from a legendary living World Championship-winning driver.

It was race-worn by Ayrton Senna during the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix Weekend where the Brazilian driver famously stopped in qualifying to help the crashed Érik Comas, making it a true piece of Formula 1 history. It is finished in Sennas classic green and yellow colourway, and is accompanied by a February 2025 inspection report by Mike Fairholme.
