LONDON.- RM Sotheby’s announced the sale of Nigel Mansell’s Legacy Collection Part III, which will be sold in the Shift Online: Europe and Middle East auction that will run from 23-28 April.

The collection will be offered directly from legendary Formula 1 World Champion Nigel Mansell, and comprises 40 exceptional lots ranging from race-worn items to collectible timepieces. Highlights include a 1992 Canon Williams Arai Nigel Mansell Formula 1 Helmet that was worn by Mansell when he drove for Canon Williams Renault in his Championship-winning 1992 Formula 1 season (Estimated at £25,000 - £50,000 GBP). Also offered is his 1992 FIA World Formula 1 Drivers' Championship Trophy, which was awarded to Mansell by the FIA following his Championship victory. For racing fans, it represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a World Championship winner’s trophy direct from the driver (Estimate: £20,000 - £30,000 GBP).

Further exceptional lots set to be offered include a 1990 Scuderia Ferrari Arai Nigel Mansell Formula 1 Helmet, which is estimated to sell for between £10,000 - £15,000 GBP. This is followed by a very special Cartier Panthère Watch (Ref. 187949) with Engraving from Camel, which was gifted to Nigel from Camel following his Championship win (Estimate: £1,000 - £2,000 GBP).

Other highlight lots include a 1986 Canon Williams Stand 21 Formula 1 Signed Race Suit (Estimate: £5,000 - £10,000 GBP), a 1987 French Grand Prix 1st-Place Trophy(Estimate: £5,000 - £10,000 GBP) and a 1995 Marlboro-McLaren Arai Nigel Mansell Formula 1 Helmet (Estimate: £2,500 - £5,000 GBP).

Felix Archer, Car Specialist at RM Sotheby’s said: “We have been honoured to sell so much of Nigel’s personal collection over the past two or three years, including his beloved 1991 Williams FW14 and his 1989 Ferrari 640. This final selection of Nigel’s collection includes some truly remarkable lots, including his 1992 FIA World Formula 1 Drivers' Championship Trophy and some very special race-worn helmets and race suits. As with the previous items we’ve offered, this collection remains a very rare opportunity to acquire important items direct from a legendary living World Championship-winning driver.”

In addition to the remarkable Mansell Collection, the sale also includes an incredibly special 1992 Ayrton Senna McLaren-Honda Formula 1 Shoei Helmet. It was race-worn by Ayrton Senna during the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix Weekend where the Brazilian driver famously stopped in qualifying to help the crashed Érik Comas, making it a true piece of Formula 1 history. It is finished in Senna’s classic green and yellow colourway, and is accompanied by a February 2025 inspection report by Mike Fairholme. It will be offered without reserve and is estimated to sell for between £100,000 - £150,000 GBP.
