LOS ANGELES, CA.- Julien's Auctions returns to Los Angeles for " Ready, Steady, Bid ” celebrating Superstar DJ - Paul Oakenfold . This auction will take place on Friday, March 28th at 10am PST and live online at juliensauctions.com . The sale features a spectacular lineup of over 150 pieces of dance music history owned and used by the pioneering DJ, Oakenfold himself. Items include awards and plaques, rare vintage posters, flyers and photos, fine art, DJ equipment, and much more.

Oakenfold’s influence extends far beyond clubs and festivals, redefining electronic music through groundbreaking performances. He is the first DJ to perform at the legendary Glastonbury festival to a 90K+ audience, he has shaped the genre for over three decades and remains a global force. Three time Grammy®-nominated, his career highlights include three world tours opening for Madonna and U2, historic DJ sets at Stonehenge, Mt. Everest’s Basecamp, and atop Patagonia, and the first-ever DJ performances at the Great Wall of China, Area 51, and Burning Man. Reminiscing about the items in his collection Oakenfold said, “Why do I want to just put this in a box when I can share it with people and put a smile on their face and let them enjoy it.” Grinning proudly he continues, “And with my collection, I think it will bring a smile to a lot of people's faces.” Adds, Giles Moon Julien’s Auctions resident dance music expert, ”Paul has a remarkable collection of memorabilia not only celebrating his own stellar musical career, but also offering rarely seen artifacts charting the evolution of dance music from the 1980s to the 2000s, including an amazing archive of material encapsulating the evolution of Acid House Music from Ibiza to the mainstream London dance scene in the 1980s, that became known as ‘The Second Summer of Love’.”

• Platinum single award for "Jack Your Body" by Steve "Silk" Hurley - Chicago House track from 1987 that went to no.1 in the UK. It was the First UK single to go to No.1 predominantly from 12" single sales, had virtually no promotion,

• Multiple Gold/Platinum Record Awards - Happy Mondays Salt n Pepa, Beastie Boys and more

Oakenfold Original DJ equipment including:

• A custom three turntable DJ booth made for Paul Oakenfold, which he used while on tour with Moby in the summer of 2001 as well as at numerous other concerts in the early 2000s. Signed by Paul Oakenfold in gold felt tip pen on the stage right side of the console. (Est. $20,000-$40,000)

• Pair of Sony headphones used in early 1990s when Oakenfold was DJing at clubs such as Ministry of Sound (Est. $1,000-$1,500)

Large collection of posters and flyers for club nights 1980s-2000s featuring Oakenfold. Highlights include:

• collection of very rare posters, flyers and ephemera from 1980s-2000s club nights, including Shoom and Spectrum - two of the very first Acid House venues in London (Est. $200-$1,000)

Photography and Art and Books

Collection of iconic framed signed large format photographs by renowned celebrity photographers such as Terry O’Neill, Douglas Kirkland and Bert Stern, including:

• Terry O’Neill Signed Photograph of Fay Dunaway, “The Morning After", 1977 (Est. $8,000-$12,000)

• Terry O’Neill Signed Photograph of Brigitte Bardot, Spain, 1971 (Est, $10,000-$20,000)

• Terry O’Neill Photograph of Rolling Stones - 1964, Signed, Printed Later (Est. $1,500-$2,500)

Miscellaneous

• Book signed and inscribed to Oakenfold by Hunter S. Thompson, commemorating their collaboration on a track from Oakenfold’s album Bunkka. Includes a copy of Thompson’s heated letter to Oakenfold’s lawyer over a royalty dispute regarding his voiceover on the track."

• "Skull Skulpture" bronze by DJ and artist Goldie M.B.E. (Est. $8,000-$12,000)
