LONDON.- This summer, the boundary-pushing fashion and culture publication Hunger Magazine will host Back to Reality, an exhibition and party at the legendary Annroy Gallery in North London. More than just a farewell to the building, the event is a joyful tribute to 35 issues worth of creative rebellion, visual storytelling, and fearless talent.
Founded by Rankin in 2011, HUNGER has spent over a decade capturing the cultural pulse always with a wink and a roar. And it all happened at Annroy: that unmistakable glass-and-concrete studio in Kentish Town, equal parts gallery, production house, and creative studio.

The space has hosted everyone serving as a launchpad for bold ideas and even bolder imagery. Now, as HUNGER prepares to leave its spiritual home, Back to Reality will celebrate everything that makes the magazine a fixture of independent publishing. The exhibition will feature a curated selection of the magazines most iconic covers, shoots, and contributors spanning fashion, music, art, and identity all displayed inside the very studio where it all came to life.
This isnt just an exhibition, says Rankin. Its a tribute to the people and moments that shaped HUNGER from the collaborators, misfits, and visionaries who gave the magazine its heart. Its also a conversation with where weve just been. After exploring the future of creativity through my show FaiK Off, this is a celebration of real life, real energy, and whats coming next.

The exhibition will feature a curated selection of HUNGERs most unforgettable moments from early covers with Rita Ora, Dua Lipa and Stormzy to bold portraits of Daniel Craig and Debbie Harry. Each image is a snapshot of a cultural moment that is unmistakably HUNGER.
But this isnt a finale, its a continuation. As HUNGER steps into a new chapter, the mission remains unchanged: to platform emerging voices, challenge the visual status quo, and celebrate the artists, stylists, musicians, and storytellers shaping tomorrow.

Back to Reality invites readers, contributors, and long-time fans to raise a glass, remember the moments, and look ahead. Because when everything feels uncertain, the most powerful thing we can do is come together to celebrate, to create, and to keep dancing.
