DELPHI .- PCAI presents its new exhibition by musician and composer Konstantinos Vita (also known as Konstantinos Beta and Κ.Β.) titled Space and Memory, curated by Kika Kyriakakou, PCAI artistic director.
Kyriakakou notes that Vita's new body of work, inspired by Nikos-Alexis Aslanoglou's poetry, constitutes a series of creations (oil paintings and pencil drawings overpainted with acrylics) that introduces us to the artist's universe in a unique manner. Each work, deeply personal and meticulous, yet familiar, constitutes an individual story, a reference to a dream sequence. A snapshot lasting fractions of a second, which, nevertheless, does not operate in a fragmentary manner. On the contrary, it crystallizes and interweaves a complete story, the creator of which chooses, for his own reasons, to isolate a specific moment and reveal it to us. These images, like Proust's childhood madeleines, activate our unconscious, in a search for innocent moments and primordial memories.
The production is held in the framework of the 2025 institution of the Ministry of Cultures programme All of Greece, One Culture. The Ministry of Culture offers free admission to the events of All of Greece, One Culture 2025.
Konstantinos Vita says: Memory in the poetry of Nikos-Alexis Aslanoglou is not only individual, it is collective, historical and deeply Greek. Through his writing and personal experiences, the wounds and transformations of postwar Greece emerge. Aslanoglous Greece is a country of memorymarked by existential anguish and reflection. While reading his poems, I felt the need to create certain images. His poetic voice becomes a space of nostalgia, loss, and awareness, reflecting the soul of contemporary Greece.
Kika Kyriakakou, PCAI artistic director says: Konstantinos Vita's visual language is a marvelous expression of his multi-dimensional talent. As part of the exhibition and the music that accompanies it, his work harmoniously converses with Aslanoglou's poetry and the Delphic landscape, proposing a return to the poetic self.
Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Polygreen CEO and PCAI founder, says: It is a great pleasure to collaborate with the Ministry of Culture's programme All of Greece, One Culture and with the prominent and highly respected artist and musician Konstantinos Vita.
