Call for Artists For Women's Music, Art, Dance and Word Fest
2nd City Council Art Gallery + Performance Space.



LONG BEACH, CA.-In recognition of International Women's Day and Women's History Month, the 2nd City Council (2cc) Art Gallery + Performance Space is please to announce its call for female visual artists from California for its 6th annual Women's Music, Art, Dance and Word Festival. The exhibition opens on March 3, 2007 - April 12, 2007 with the Festival being held on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The juror is Sara Cochran, Ph.D Assistant Curator Modern Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Entry deadline is Sunday, January 21, 2007. Open media except film and video. Open subject matter. Cash awards $500, $300, $200, $100 plus the infamous Eye Opener Statue. Entries can be submitted by slides or photographs/digital prints (5" x 7" minimum size). We are in the process of implementing a new procedure for email submissions that should be ready in time for our next call for artists. Entry Fees are $10 per entry for members and $12 per entry for nonmembers.
