ST. IVES, UK.- Tate St. Ives presents Social Systems, on view through 2 September 2007. Superflex and Regina Möller are showing new work at Tate St Ives as part of a series of international commissions in Cornwall by contemporary visual arts organisation ProjectBase.

Renowned Danish artist collective Superflex employ free software and open source methods to create tools and products. Their process creates conditions for the production of new ways of thinking, acting, speaking and imagining. German artist Regina Möller appropriates the format of mainstream, women's fashion magazines and shifts the boundaries of the usual topics such as fashion, gender and home, by discussing these subjects from alternative perspectives.

social systems also presents new works by Christine Borland, Eloisa Cartonera, Hassan Hajjaj, Surasi Kusolwong and Joseph Grigely. As well as exhibits at Tate St Ives social systems will be on show at the newly refurbished Newlyn Art Gallery, The Exchange in Penzance and within the public realm.

ProjectBase is a contemporary visual arts organisation with partners including NewlynArtGallery, Tate St Ives and University College Falmouth. ProjectBase commissions internationally established artists to work within local communities to present exciting and innovative projects.
