LONDON.-The AQUARIUM L13 is proud to announce a new exhibition of artworks and musical performance by the collaborative duo STOT21stCplanB,an exhibition of over 150 paintings, ceramics, works on paper, lampshades and other art works from the creators of the fake Not Banksy range.
Starring: The Millennium Death Wheel, The Tate Institute for the Mentally Useless, Terror Tits, a Stump Legged Chick with Fear and Hate in its Heart, The Self Perpetuating Auto-Erotic Tit Wank Machine, War, the Badly Drawn Man with a Knife, Nasty Flowers, a Celebrity, an Arsehole, Radical Politics and Political Posturing, the Unloving Couple, and the Awesome Power of Nature vs the Awesome Power of Man.
In a proactive, creative approach to life and death, the exhibition takes the form of paintings, detourned imagery, decorated household objects, and a multiplicity of other creations. Within this kaleidoscopic survey of their own psychological and physical landscape, they seek to relax the barriers between the art and the viewer through a process of highly energised, non-specialised, creative production. This work, on occasions, can present a grand or monumental vision, but more often than not, wanting engagement and exchange with their audience, STOT21stCplanB present an approachable and humorous vista. This new exhibition promises to be as playful and irreverent as ever, and, reflecting the very nature of the aquarium, true to form, prices will start at 25p.
Pandemonium in the English Landscape will be their 6th exhibition at the aquarium, but other recent activity includes being the driving force behind a highly imaginative campaign for Mayor of London, a billboard urging viewers to Eat shit, millions of flies cant be wrong and a series of truly appalling artworks known as Celebrity Arse Face. They also sell vast quantities of what they call stuff through the aquarium, including a stunning line in contemporary ceramics, revitalised Ikea furniture and a multitude of prints and small original works.
