PANAMA.- Allegro Galería presents Thresholds - Heriberto Mora (Cuba / USA) and Maria Navas (Colombia), on view through June 30th, 2008. Each show represents a threshold to something new: the possibility of seeing with new eyes, of bringing back our capacity of wonder: the promise of a new beginning.

Thresholds offer us the opportunity of getting into the enigmatic and subtle universe of Heriberto Mora. Tableaus that seem timeless captivate us from the start, only to reveal their secrets slowly, in a quiet whisper. Each painting shows a window: an enlighten alternative to a new way. Immersed in his world, we’d be part of the existential and creative pilgrimage of a talented artist, who searches the concepts of time, fragility, unity and spirituality with a very personal sensibility.

Maria Navas’ paintings will show us landscape with a modern take. Through history, man, constant conqueror, has built fortresses, trampling on the nature that surrounds and nurtures him. With a very personal aesthetic approach, Maria’s works show the vision of an artist preoccupied with the excessive growth of the city and the future of mankind.
