EL PASO, TX.- The De Wetter Gallery at the El Paso Museum of Art presents "Untitled and the Minimalist Aesthetic," on view through November 9, 2008. This exhibition, curated by Assistant Curator Katherine E. Smith, considers the basic tenets of the movement that emerged in the late 1960s and was known for paintings or sculpture "made with an extreme economy of means." No attempt was made to represent or symbolize any other object or experience. Artists included are Donald Judd, Connie Goldman, Joe Mancuso, Andrea Rosenberg, and Margo Sawyer. This exhibition is free to the public.
