FARGO, ND.- Monday, May 18 is International Museum Day, a day on which people all over the world celebrate the important social role of museums and their service to society and its enrichment. Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, celebration of cultures and the development of mutual understanding and cooperation among peoples.
Plains Art Museum will observe International Museum Day with free admission all day, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., which includes entrance to the exhibitions Art of the Guitar: A Luthier’s Renaissance; 16th Annual National Juried Watermedia; Keys to the Collection: Works from the Permanent Collection; ArtView: Responding to the Canon: Art Inspired by Work from Plains Art Museum ’s Collection; ArtView: Narcissism by Jessica Matson-Fluto; and International Harvester Historical Photographs. The Store and Café Muse by Green Market Catering are also open that day.
