Everson Museum of Art Presents Skaneateles Connect Event: Art on the Lake

SYRACUSE, NY.- The Everson Museum of Art announced a special evening of Art on the Lake, which will take place at the Skaneateles Country Club, on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 5.30 – 7.30p.m.

Art on the Lake is an annual event at which the Skaneateles community celebrates the arts. This festive cocktail party will also include hors d’oeuvres and a beautiful display of artwork by Skaneateles area artists. There will also be an opportunity to converse with the Everson Museum of Art Director, Steven Kern and Senior Curator, Debora Ryan as well as Skaneateles artists.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to for the community to interact with art,” said Steven Kern, Everson Director. “The event brings the Everson closer to the Skaneateles community.”

The Everson is pleased to partner with the Skaneateles Area Arts Council on this event. Art on the Lake is made possible through the generous sponsorship of a group of citizens dedicated to bringing the visual arts, in particular the Everson Museum of Art, to the community of Skaneateles. The sponsors include: Anne and Richard Capozza, Julie Abbott and Steve Kenan, Susie Birchenough and Raz Rahman, Barbara and Jed Delmonico, Kim and John Mezzalingua, Jack and Stephanie Rudnick, and Philippe and Jeremy Schwimmer/The Peddler Foundation. Additional support is provided by Skaneateles Area Arts Council.

The cost for Art on the Lake is $150 per couple, $75 per individual. Tickets include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and the special art viewing.
