DALLAS, TX.- PDNB Gallery will select special photographs from its archive by various artists that PDNB has not exhibited in recent years. These photographs highlight the breadth of innovation and style from documentary to conceptual.

Artists that will be included: Stuart Allen, Peter Brown, Sara Charlesworth, Barbara Ess, David Graham, William Greiner, John Herrin, Misty Keasler, Sandy Skoglund, Neal Slavin, Chris Verene

Included in this exhibition, the signature image of Neal Slavin's BRITON'S series from the 1980's, Channel Swimmers. Slavin used the large format Polaroid camera, the same equipment that William Wegman used, to continue work on his concept of group identity. This particular photograph was used as the cover image of the Aperture book, BRITONS.

A color photograph by Sandy Skoglund represents her early career in conceptual art. Artists Nic Nicosia and Tina Barney also used this method of staging a scene in the 1980's.

PDNB Gallery's mission is to exhibit established and emerging artists from around the world. These particular works date back to the 1970's. All artists above have photographs in important museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Whitney Museum, New York, and the Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas, TX.
