"Cutting-edge fashion, dramatically installed; monumental drawings by an influential contemporary artist; and surprisingly modern pottery created 500 years ago. These are just a few of the current offerings at the Metropolitan," stated Emily K. Rafferty, President of the Metropolitan Museum. "The unique combination of special exhibitions and family activities that the Museum providesalong with opportunities to shop and enjoy a casual lunchmakes the Met the perfect destination for a summer day trip for tourists and area residents alike."
