NEW YORK, NY.- Sothebys announced the appointment of Dr. Tao Wang as Head of the Chinese Works of Art Department in New York. A distinguished academic, Dr. Wang was previously a senior lecturer at The School of Oriental and African Studies in London and relocated to New York over the summer. Dr. Wang was born and educated in China and maintains close links with cultural institutions in the country. He is also a widely published author on a range of subjects relating to Chinese art.
