Art13 London announces focus on Contemporary photography, prints and editions

LONDON.- Art13 London, sponsored by Citi Private Bank, is delighted to announce details of the Fair's focus on contemporary photography from around the world, and commitment to showcasing Prints and Editions. The Positive View Foundation, Art13 London's philanthropic partner will showcase selected works from their highly acclaimed 'Cartier-Bresson: A Question of Colour' exhibition.

A number of leading galleries from across the globe will bring photography to Art13 London, showcasing a variety of contemporary work from international artists. Galleries presenting photography at the fair will include 2902 Gallery, Singapore, Jack Bell, UK, Brancolini Grimaldi, UK, Gallery Magda Danysz, China/ France, HackelBury, UK, and Kleinschmidt Fine Photographs, Germany. Michael Hoppen Gallery, UK, will present an entire stand of Japanese photography, including work by Daido Moriyama and Nobuyoshi Araki. Paris-Beijing, France/ China/ Belgium, will dedicate their booth to photography by Asian artists including Liu Bolin, Chen Jiagang and Yang Yongliang while Tolarno Galleries, Australia, will display new works by Australian Bill Henson. Van der Mieden, Belgium, will bring new works by Brazilian photographer Caio Reisewitz.

Furthermore, an impressive roster of prints and editions galleries will feature at the Fair; including Jealous, UK, Paul Stolper, UK, Dark Matter Studio, UK, and The Outsiders, UK. The Paragon Press, UK, will launch a new series of prints by Anish Kapoor as well as large-scale linocuts by Gary Hume together with Richard Deacon's new series of etchings and Ged Quinn's work 'Utopia Dystopia'.

Art13 London's recognition of the importance of photography is reflected in the Fair's philanthropic partnership with Positive View Foundation, which stages world class exhibitions and events that present the most important contemporary photography from around the globe. The Foundation also funds and supports educational projects that use photography to help disadvantaged young individuals through development and training programmes with the objective of encouraging discussion and debate between all spectrums of society. The Foundation will showcase selected works from their highly acclaimed 'Cartier-Bresson: A Question of Colour' exhibition at Somerset House during Autumn/ Winter 2012 and from their upcoming groundbreaking show 'Landmark: The Fields of Photography' featuring masters such as Thomas Struth, Edward Burtynsky, Taryn Simon, Richard Misrach, Nadav Kandar, Sophie Ristelheuber, Mitch Epstein, Simon Norfolk, Thomas Joshua Cooper, Joel Sternfeld and Robert Polidori.

Art13 London also announced its partnership with The May Fair Hotel as its official hotel partner, a legendary luxury hotel in the heart of Mayfair, providing exclusive hotel rates for visitors of the Fair.
