HONG KONG.- Fine Art Asia is now established as the most important art event in the Asian region to feature the finest works from ancient to contemporary.

In a ground-breaking collaboration, Fine Art Asia brought a Hong Kong Pavilion to the recent Masterpiece London fair. It featured three leading Hong Kong-based modern art galleries who displayed work alongside classical Chinese furniture. Several important sales were made to European collectors, and a new audience came to understand the leading role Fine Art Asia has played within the growing Hong Kong art market since it launched in 2006. Hong Kong becomes a focus for the world’s art market in early October, as major auction house sales to Asian clients take place alongside the Fine Art Asia fair.

On display at Fine Art Asia 2013 will be Asian and Western collectible works of art, from ancient Chinese bronzes, rare Himalayan, Egyptian and Islamic art, Chinese lacquer, porcelain, scholar’s objects, furniture, textiles and snuff bottles, to French 18th century furniture and European decorative arts from the 17th to the 19th century. Visitors can also discover some of the most iconic jewellery pieces of all time by the world’s greatest designers including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany and Bulgari; the finest antique silver from both East and West; Impressionist and Modern art including exceptional paintings by Monet and Sisley, and sculptures by Rodin; as well as works by 20th to 21st century Chinese and international artists, and 19th to 21st century design and decorative arts.

Returning to Fine Art Asia 2013 are over 100 leading international dealers including Rossi & Rossi (London and Hong Kong), Robert Hall (London), Vanderven Oriental Art (The Netherlands), Christian Deydier (Paris); Gladwell & Patterson (London), Bowman Sculpture (London), Galerie Dumonteil (Paris, New York and Shanghai); Koopman Rare Art (London), Somlo Antiques (London), Susan Ollemans (London), Michael Goedhuis (London), Alisan Fine Arts (Hong Kong) and Kai-Yin Lo (Hong Kong).
