SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- Bonhams Fine & Rare Wines auction to be held September 14 in San Francisco will contain a variety of Old World and New World rarities. The sale will be simulcast in New York and Los Angeles.

A selection of Red Bordeaux from some of the best vintages of the 20th century, such as 1953 Chateau Lafite Rothschild (from a five-bottle mix-lot, estimated at $4,000-5,000); 1959 Chateau Mouton Rothschild (from a four-bottle mix-lot, estimated at $2,800-3,800); and 1961 Chateau Margaux (from a five-bottle mix-lot, estimated at $3,000-4,000) will highlight the auction.

Notable offerings will also include rarely-seen vintages of Vega Sicilia Unico, including 1942, 1960, 1962, and 1964 of varying estimates.

An exceptional selection of classic California cabernets will be available from some of California's top vintages, including the 1958 Inglenook Classic Claret, 1966 BV Private Reserve and the 1974 Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill.

One incredibly rare mixed lot will feature seven of the 10 wines poured at the famous 1976 "Judgment of Paris" tasting: 1973 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V.; 1970 Heitz Cellars "Martha's Vineyard;" 1972 Clos du Val Cabernet; 1971 Mayacamas; 1969 Freemark Abbey; 1970 Chateau Mouton Rothschild; and 1970 Chateau Montrose.

The illustrated auction catalog for the September 14 sale will be available online for review and purchase in the weeks preceding the sale.
