NEW YORK, NY.- Christie’s will present an online-only sale of Neon Dreams: Editioned Works by Kusama, Murakami and Nara, which will be open for bidding September 17 through October 1. This dedicated online-only auction is a celebration of Japanese contemporary prints and multiples, with over 130 prints and multiples by renowned Japanese artists Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nara and Yayoi Kusama. Coinciding with Asian Art Week and the First Open Sale of Post-War & Contemporary Art, this online-only sale offers both new and seasoned collectors opportunities to own these works of art with estimates ranging from $100 to $60,000.

YAYOI KUSAMA
One of the most important images seen throughout Kusama’s work is the pumpkin. Her choice of pumpkins – a gritty, hearty vegetable of the earth – provides a compelling counterpart to Kusama's signature dots. Kusama’s pumpkins are found throughout the sale, but most spectacularly in Pumpkin - Yellow, estimate: $30,000-50,000), one of five monumental etchings from the series in the sale. These images, from an extremely limited edition of eight, truly represent an opportunity to own some of the finest work by the artist in the print medium.

TAKASHI MURAKAMI
Neon Dreams offers a curated, career spanning selection of Murakami’s editions from his earliest screenprints to his most recent highly finished images which exemplify Murakami’s technically complex print work. In the classic Murakami style of superflat, exuberant images of supercute, rebellious characters and brilliant lively colors can be seen throughout the sale in works such as Flowers in Heaven (together in a group of three - estimate: $3,000-5,000).

YOSHITOMO NARA
Together with works by Kusama and Murakami, Neon Dreams presents an unprecedented comprehensive selection of editions by Yoshitomo Nara. Ranging from the rare early complete portfolio In the Floating World to his most recent woodcuts such as Don’t Want to Grow Up (estimate: $2,500-3,500), the sale covers the full spectrum of Nara’s work in the print medium. Nara’s synthesis of Japanese tradition and punk rebellion are some of the most popular images in contemporary art today and are available to collectors old and new with the majority of estimates under $5,000.
