SANTA ANA, CA.- Don Presley Auctions is back with a new Southern California venue and a grand opening auction scheduled for Sunday, March 2, beginning at noon Pacific Time.
Don Presley Auctions has taken space at South Coast Auction, 2202 S. Main St. in Santa Ana, CA 92707. The new location will enable Don Presley to conduct monthly auctions with live in-house bidding.
Highlights from Presleys upcoming auction can be viewed at www.donpresley.com
and the entire auction catalog is available at LiveAuctioneers.com, which will facilitate Internet live bidding.
Company owner Don Presley expressed his sentiments concerning his yearlong hiatus and the change of venue.
We had some of the best auctions in Southern California, and I am so grateful to my loyal customers who made it all possible. At the same time I am both excited and relieved to be able to get down to business without the weight of dealing with the ever-increasing municipal governments restrictions and costly code renovations we faced at our previous location in Orange (Calif.), said Presley. Weve always had an abundance of outstanding merchandise to offer, and that will not change. The only thing that is changing is our location.
Presley added: Were grateful to all who have helped us create some great memories at our former location in Orange. Were looking forward to seeing everyone at the South Coast Auction location in Santa Ana, he said.
Don Presley Auctions will hold about 12 live in-house auctions per year, concentrating on high-end antiques and collectibles. These sales will be complemented by Internet bidding through LiveAuctioneers.
Presleys grand opening auction will feature an abundance of fine antiques, including Meissen, Limoges, Sevres, Royal Vienna and Berlin KPM porcelain; Baccarat, Moser and Galle glass; carved jade and other Chinese items; French clocks, bronze figures and two 19th-century Flemish tapestries.
Thats what Im interested in superior-quality antiques that are in demand with collectors all over the world want. Im going to concentrate on what I have always done, and that is to offer folks the opportunity to bid on bargains from around the world, on hard-to-find, fresh-to-the-market antiques and collectibles, Presley said.
He said one thing that will never change is his dedication to his clients. To me, the customer has always come first, said Presley. The popular auction company has also built a reputation for assisting charities with their fundraising projects. It is something that will continue to be an integral part of the companys mission, Presley said.
South Coast Auction, owned by Billy Humphries and Les Taylor, and has held auctions at the Santa Ana location every Wednesday for 37 years. South Coast Auction offers around 60,000 square feet of auction space situated on more than three acres in the historical section of South Main Street in Santa Ana. Although Presley will be operating Don Presley Auction as a separate entity, he and Humphries will be working together.
Ive known Billy over 45 years. He sells general merchandise, high-end antiques, collectibles, etc. It could be appliances, pianos, cars, office and restaurant equipment; new inventory you name it, he sells it. This arrangement is going to broaden the scope of items I can accept for my Wednesday auctions. I can see it working out very well for both of us.
